On the way back from shooting another project, this beautiful reflective light caught my attention. Reflective light is one of those amazing situations where it can really create a point of interest to a scene that might otherwise just be boring. The scene with an old rusty fence and trees is a pleasant sight to the eye in a world of so much concrete and inhuman geography. This area is south facing so in winter its in constant shadow in winter. The sun is low in the horizon at this time of the year and it was reflecting off a building behind me and onto the fence and trees creating this warm glow. I am often contacted with questions asking what camera and/or lens I use. It’s not about what camera you have that makes an interesting photograph. There are many elements that do this and reflective light is one of them. Look for reflective light in your scenes and use it to your advantage.
